Artists Statement
I have created in some way or another ever since I can remember. As an Educator I have always been called to work within the arts, mainly the Visual Arts. I also often worked with the Inclusive team to demonstrate how art can been an avenue to assist us to communicate. I have taught across a number of sites and year levels. Additionally, I have provided art workshops to adults as part of Professional Development.
As a Colour Designer I have enjoyed working with a variety of clients to use colour and colour psychology to create harmonious living, working and learning spaces. My Master of Education subject Designing Spaces for Learning was a catalyst for further development and practice in this area. My favourite projects have included coordination and design of a School Library and Learning Hub, Doctor’s surgery and helping people to make a house a home.
As an artist I practice each day and would call myself an emerging artist. I have the benefit of travel to draw upon and the opportunity to take a variety of courses to try and further develop my practice and skills. I enjoy collaborating with others hoping to share my skill set and learn new things along the way. Since 2022 I have exhibited in a number of group exhibitions and have held solo exhibitions each year.
